Book Summary:
How well do you truly know the person you love? Two years ago, my world shattered when my husband and closest friend died in a tragic car accident in Norfolk. Since then, I’ve been consumed by grief and haunted by unanswered questions—why were they together in Charlie’s car that day?
I know I can’t keep isolating myself, hiding away in this empty house. It’s time to find a way to move forward and start living again.
On a friend’s recommendation, I decide to try a reputable dating site called IntoYou. She assures me it’s the perfect way to meet someone new, and when I quickly match with someone, I think she might be right. It seems so simple, almost too easy.
But I soon realize I’ve made myself vulnerable in ways I never expected. Behind the screen, anyone can pretend to be someone they’re not. Anonymity can be a dangerous disguise.
As strange and unsettling events begin to unfold, shocking truths about my past come to the surface. It feels like someone is watching me—someone who knows more than they should.
The darkness closing in is tied to secrets I thought were buried. Can I uncover the truth and protect myself before it’s too late?
My Review:
Wow, what an incredibly intense read! I couldn’t tear myself away, even though some parts were truly unsettling. The story was gripping, packed with unexpected twists and turns that kept me hooked from the very beginning—a thrilling roller-coaster ride from start to finish. There were moments when I felt like I couldn’t read quickly enough to find out what would happen next. My heart was practically in my throat, eagerly anticipating what lay ahead.
This book was absolutely captivating, and the final quarter was phenomenal! It had me questioning everything and everyone, which I absolutely adore in a story. In three words: Exceptional, spine-tingling, and unputdownable!
Now onto my fifth book of the year—let’s see what surprises it has in store!
Happy Readings!
