My Cooking Tip # 4

Hello my dear readers,

Here we are, with my fourth tip in the kitchen:

Prepare all your ingredients before cooking or baking.

In professional kitchens and restaurants cooks always set up their work stations and gather all ingredients necessary for the recipe, they measure them and chop and prepare them if needed.

I advise to do the same thing at home, as it seriously helps with organisation and I talk from my own experience πŸ€ͺ. First, it will guarantee you never forget to add an ingredient and second, will save you time from running back and forth from the pantry several times.

  1. The kids just bought a samgyupsal stove this morning. Gonna try this tonight. They bought different kinds of sausages too. I also line up my ingredients when I cook. Thanks for these tips Ribana.

  2. I seldom cook because it’s time consuming. That and cleaning up afterwards. When I do cook it’s usually a rewarding experienceπŸ‘©β€πŸ³

    1. I do it almost everyday but my cooking is always very fast πŸ˜‰ Very rarely it happens to take me more than half an hour to cook and prepare the dinner πŸ˜‰ Cooking sometimes is relaxing too πŸ˜‰ and of course rewarding πŸ˜‰ Thank you Hilary!

  3. I love your cooking tips. Whenever I cook a proper meal, I love to have all the ingredients right in front of me. There’s nothing worse than realising you are out of certain stuff half way through cooking πŸ™ˆ Thanks for sharing and have a good day πŸ˜€ Aiva

    1. Thank you very much Aiva! Oh yes, and even worst is if you realize you don’t have it and you don’t have a market or supermarket nearby to quickly buy the missing ingredients πŸ€ͺ and you already imagined yourself enjoying the result πŸ™ˆπŸ€ͺ
Have a lovely day too! 🌸

  4. Agree. And that’s why even when I’m not feeling good I prepare to be the one who manage the kitchen and cooking because if I live it to my husband and son… sigh, it looks like a bomb just exploded there. πŸ˜‚

      1. Ooohhh that sounds delicious! I’ve always been too scared to try making risotto, thinking I won’t do it justice. 😬 Thanks for sharing your recipe. What’s your top tip for someone whose never made risotto? πŸ˜‹πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³
