Yesterday morning I was coming back from my morning run and I’ve meet a family coming out from the condo. There was a kid with his mom, so I stepped on the side and let them get out first. The kid stepped out and fell on the stairs so I have helped him to get up and asked him if his ok as his mom was too busy with her bicycle. He was ok, he only slipped without hurting himself. For my surprise his mom said nothing to me not even thank you because I helped his son. Ok, never mind Ribana, she is too busy or worried for her son. So I have smiled to her, showing her that people can be kind. And I did well smiling at her, because further back it was her husband with the other kid and he looked at me, smiling back and said the magic word “thank you”.
It is not that I expect nothing in change when doing good or being kind, it is just sad that people are too busy to notice and return your kindness. I think if they’ll pay more attention at these small gestures of kindness they’ll be more happy and they’ll learn to be kind too.
Always be kind even when the others are not. Your day will be much brighter π
Have a wonderful week!

Wonderful story! Have a lovely week too dear Riby!ππΊπΊ
Thank you Betty πππΈ Have a wonderful week πΈπΈ
I agree. How hard is it just to say thank you? π Or just smile. It costs nothing.
Exactly! It costs nothing π Thank you for reading and wish you a wonderful week ππΈπΈπΈ
You too! Hope you come across people with more gratitude π
Thank you π Is quite difficult nowadays ππΈ but Iβm sure are out there π
They are, and it is like coming across a rare gem π
Indeed ππ
It’s very true, never mind next time when they will require someone to show such gestures of kindness but will find none, they will remember your acts of kindness.
Thank you for your kind words π I wish them always to meet kind people and I wish you all to always find kind people! Life is much better with kind people ππ
Exactly, thank you so much for the lovely message. Most welcomeπ·π
A lovely story. Unfortunately it reminds me of an incident in my running days which haunts me still. In a crowded London street I ran into a little boy I hadn’t seen beside his parents. He was hurt, but not apparently injured by having been knocked down. I hope he is now a healthy adult and has forgotten it.
Hi Derrick, incidents happens but is depending on us how we handle it. Important is to be kind and just donβt ignore it. Be respectful as we never know what life will bring us π I hope so too π He definitely has forgotten it ππ
Yes, I can relate on this. Other people are so grateful, yet some are not. Your kindness is worth emulating! God bless!
I think regardless of how people are, we need to be kind π and our life will definitely be better ππΈ
So true. My Mum always said to me “treat people the way you want to be treated yourself”. This creates respect for one another and also creates a better atmosphere.
Exactly! I live by this too π I always respect everyone and I would like to be respected, even if is not always like this π€ͺ But no matter what, Iβm keep doing it my way ππ
Wow that is β¨MAGICβ¨ Thank You and Smile these are free ! People imagine tgese words have price. NO! not at all… Whoever realised it, stays happy and humble…
Very true Simon! We can be happy with so little π We just need to wish it ππ
Lovely story ππ
Thank you π
nice post…thanks for share
Thank you for reading π
Beautiful orchids and beautiful shot as well π I can relate to your story and like you I don’t expect anything when I’m kind but I have a problem when people don’t say a simple thank you, don’t smile, it can really change my mood and I become grumpy! which is bad haha
Sometimes I’m really angry and when I let someone passes for an example or whatever something I did and didn’t hear a thank you, I say out loud “you’re welcome” oh well, I don’t do it often, it also reflects anger and I rather act as if I didn’t care but it pisses me off to be honest! Glad you had your thank you and smile at the end π
Have a good night by now π€π€πΈπΈ
Itβs so simple yet so difficult for some π€ A simple βthank youβ doesnβt cost anything, except maybe 2 seconds of oneβs time π²True, it really can change the mood! Grumpy cat πΎ ππ€ I become grumpy too but luckily it passes immediately, if it doesnβt transform in anger and then I become our friend Hitler π
Youβre doing right saying βyouβre welcomeβ, maybe theyβll understand ππ Thank you my dear always for your kind words and for your time π€π€π€ Time to go to bed for me ππ Have a great evening π€π€π€ππππΈπΈπΈ
Itβs not difficult unless nobody taught them actually π hahah 2 Grumpy cats πΎ and 2 hitlers π it will be funny π Iβm no better at all!
Sleep well and sweet dreams π€π€π€ππππΊπΊ

Not all people are share the same ideals of being kind to one another, but with that being said… You showed that “Nevermind, her ignorance” You still did the right thing.
At least the husband is pleasant. π Kindness goe a long way… Keep doing what you’re doing and make the world a better place by setting a good example! π€
Yes, definitely everybody express kindness in their way π Important in the end is to show it ππ You are perfectly right! Kindness goes a long way! Thank you Beckie for your kind words! π€π€πΈπΈπΈ
Always a pleasure! ππ»
It is so easy to be nice. I am glad you helped and am also glad at least the father acknowledged your assistance. You are such a kind person!
Thank you Maggie for your kind words! Yes, is very easy to be kind and yet so difficult for some…I donβt expect anything in change, because is my way of being, but a smile or a simple βthank youβ can change my day too πππΈ
Thank you is such a valuable phrase and not used often enough. I think you did the right thing and helped the little fellow. The fact that you were not acknowledged does not take away from the kindness of what you did.
Not at all! I donβt expect anything in change! Is just my way of being! Iβm glad he was ok and sad for having such a mom…π€ͺ Iβm not a parent but usually the parents need to be an example for their kids. I just hope he will inherit the kindness from his dad ππ
I agree with you, a thank you is not hard to say, you are good soul
Thank you very much for your kind words π
My absolute favorite
It’s the little things, like smiling and saying please and thank you which make all the difference, that’s why they are so important
Exactly! Thatβs what can change our day! Or others day! ππ
That happens often when I hold the door open for people. And theyβre often younger than myself! Terrible.
π€¦ββοΈ oh these people π and is so easy to be kind! Just need to start by being respectful π
A nice share. The magic word, seems to have become a lost form of expression! π
Sadly is true! π thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
My pleasure, you too!
It’s sad that so many people have forgotten how to be nice and have good manners. π That was so nice of you to help that little boy. π
Thank you Michelle! Yes, I think is not anymore one of their priorities π Hopefully theyβll realize one day that our life is much better being kind! π€π
I agree!! People are so busy in themselves…. beautiful flowers
I too don’t like people don’t say even a thank you…
Unfortunately most of them donβt remember it…π and is so simple and easy π
Thank you Jyoti for stopping by! πΈπΈπΈ
Lovely story!!
Thank you ππΈ
It would have been nice for a thank you from her or even a nod of the head. I’m an internal talker. So even if in my mind I have said thank you, the words do not come out. I had to train myself to nod my head as a gesture of appreciation.
I guess important in the end is to be grateful and to be polite! π Thank you for stopping by!
