Book Summary:
Mark Burcham and his wife, Amy, seem to have it all—a strong marriage, a cozy home in Los Angeles, and a beautiful daughter named Tatum. But their seemingly perfect life is shattered when Amy fails to return from a business trip to Boston, and her office reveals they have no record of a client on the East Coast.
The situation takes a devastating turn when Mark receives the heartbreaking news: Amy has been found dead. But the details surrounding her death don’t add up. Why was Amy still in town when Mark had dropped her off at the airport days earlier? And who was the mysterious client she’d been secretly meeting for months? Mark quickly realizes that his wife was hiding a life he never knew.
Determined to uncover the truth, Mark delves deeper into the secrets Amy kept from him. But the closer he gets, the more danger he faces. Someone is watching his every move, and when his pursuit of the truth puts Tatum’s safety at risk, Mark is forced to confront an unthinkable choice. How far will he go to protect the ones he loves most?
