Hello my dear readers,
I cannot believe that I’m saying “Hello September” already!

We are in the last quarter of 2022! It’s incredible how fast the time flies!
As the days grow shorter and the leaves start to change color, it’s hard not to get excited for all that autumn has in store. Here in Singapore, being near to the equator, sunrise and sunset do not differ significantly throughout the year, so the days have almost the same length, around 12 hours of daylight. Even if Singapore doesn’t have the 4 seasons, I can still feel that autumn sensation when I see the leaves falling and changing their colors.

Whether you’re a pumpkin spice lover or an autumn leaves admirer, there’s plenty to enjoy this time of year. So let’s get ready to soak up everything September has to offer!
How was your August?
I hope you all had a great August! Mine was packed with work, as usual. I am glad that despite the fact that I’ve not really recovered 100% after COVID, I was able to get back to my regular routine. For me, that means, besides office work, fitness training and exercising, outdoor running, and cooking, of course.
What about you?
My book for August?
In August I’ve read an adrenaline-filled, action-adventure thriller book called The Vatican Secret by David Leadbeater.

I’m not a very fast reader, and I don’t have time to read the entire day, but this book hooked me from the first pages, and I finished it in 2 days despite the fact that it has more than 400 pages.
Synopsis (as mentioned on the book):
When ex-MI5 operative Joe Mason is sent to Rome to guard an elderly professor and his daughter, he thinks he’s in for an easy ride.
But on their first day in the Vatican secret archives, a masked assassin gains entry, shoots Joe’s client in cold blood and steals an ancient manuscript. Giving chase, Joe can’t imagine what could lie within those pages that would make someone willing to kill.
The search for answers leads Joe and his comrades in a race against time, across continents and into treacherous mountains. Only they have a hope of rescuing the Vatican Book of Secrets before centuries-old enemy can succeed in bringing Rome – and the world as we know it – crashing down…
It is a fast-paced page-turner book!
As for the cooking part, I’ve developed lots of delicious recipes in August. Below are just a few:
What are your plans for the month of September? I’d love to hear all about them in the comments below! 🙂

Wish you all a wonderful September, filled with health, happiness, love and lots of accomplishments.
I probably shouldn’t make any plans for September, at least until my health problem is resolved, but I know I will. I can’t stop myself!
Well, include something easy and relaxing in your plans and then you’re good 😉🤩 Have a lovely and healthy September!
I hope I do!
Yes, it is hard to believe that September is here already! Kids are back to school, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally see the changing colours. I am a very big fan of chia puddings, therefore I very much love your coconut chia pudding with mango and mint recipe. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
Thank you Aiva! I’m glad you like the chia puddings! They are so easy to make, and so nutritious! Wish you a wonderful month ahead! 😉
Time flies indeed! September already and for me I’m almost one year older 😅August was very hot, dull but I managed to post some stuff , to be back to blogging and writing and it was better than July somehow which was the Covid month! Sorry to know you didn’t fully recover, I’m way better but I need to do some tests when I’m back. Today I will start my vacation for one week, so September hopefully is starting in a good way 😊 I hope yours will be great as well 🤗🤗💕💕
Yes! Happy Birthday in advance for tomorrow 🎉🤩🍷 you are not an year older, but an year wiser! 😉😁 I’m glad that you’re back to blogging! We’ve missed you! Wish you a wonderful vacation! Have fun, relax a little bit, and eat lots of delicious foods 😉😆 Have a wonderful and happy September! 🤗💕🧸🌸

The last quarter, eh? Oh my! Your peach cobbler is summer illustrated. Good you are better now.
September is the month to begin new knitting projects for gifts. Socks. Also a t-Shirt quilt for my son’s November birthday. I enjoyed your post and also your recipes. I’m not a pumpkin spice fan myself but have friends who love it!
It’s an exciting time of year but also underlying sadness-having lost my Mother in the month of September and my father in the month of October. The change of season, a prompt for vivid and muted memories.
Thank you Ruth for stopping by and sharing! Knitting projects sounds lovely 🤩 I’m sorry for your lost! I’ve lost my mother in October too and from then, that month is not the same…
Wish you a wonderful month ahead and a lovely autumn!
❤️
Oooh, that cobbler and pudding look divine. I love Autumn!
Thank you very much! Very appreciated! Autumn is a wonderful and delicious season!
And here we are! Happy September!
Thank you Dorothy! Same to you!
Great post. I’ve never been to Singapore. I have a lot more traveling to do in my life! But I love the fall so my spirits are lifting!
Thank you! The world is so big, that I think one life is not enough to travel 😆 Have a wonderful fall!
Your good wishes reciprocated, Ribana. As always, the textures of your cooking cause salivation
Thank you very much Derrick! Very appreciated!
Wow, that was a lot 😍. I inspire this to record my achievements in my passion. Just noting it down. It will take a decade for me to follow that, but you are religious I must say you are awesome in doing something religiously. You know what I mean, consistently.. Nice read, 400 pages, wow❣️. Happy September Ribana 🥰
Thank you Simon! Yes, I’m trying to be consistent 😆Actually, consistency is the one that keeps me going 😁
Have a wonderful September ahead!
It all sounds perfect and the cupcakes…yum.
Thank you very much!
Happy September Ribby! Wow, I never thought of it before that even in the tropic leaves change color in autumn. I’m excited for autumn because I’m tired of the heat and I want to experience the crunching of the colorful under my feet hehe.
I’m not a speed reader too, I normally finish 400 pages book in 5-10 days depending on the formatting and the spacing of the book. But if you normally don’t finish quick and did it now only means that it must be a damn good book haha 😀
Some years ago I read 7 books of Harry Potter in 8 days. That’s 4,100 hardback pages in total. I sleep like a dead after I was done because I barely sleep in those days 😂 I didn’t have a kid back then so haha
When it is a very good book I’m a very fast reader it seems 😆 just because I can’t put the book down 😆
4,100 pages in 8 days, wow! That’s something huge! 📖😆 Of course, if is so good, you must read day and night, no matter what 😁😆
I practically did nothing else 🤣
The Coconut Chia Pudding with Mango and Mint recipe sounds intriguing!
Best September wishes to you!
Thank you! I’m very glad you like it! Have a lovely September ahead!
Hey Ribana, wishing you a lovely September. I know right – where has the year gone and when will the twenties stop being so painfully dramatic!
Hi Rory, exactly 😁
You had me at Peach Cobbler! Really, before that. September is so glorious. The days are shorter, but richer. And we are better for all nature’s “shedding” in such color and texture. Please keep posting!
Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words! Indeed September is glorious 😍 Have a wonderful month ahead!
Such variety in one post. 😍
Thank you!
You see, books have the power of doing that to us sometimes. Some books are so good that they have you hooked, for good.
Very true! That’s the magic of reading 😉
That pudding looks DELICIOUS and I love that book choice! I’m going to have to pick it up myself now after I finish what’s on my list
Thank you very much! I’m glad you like them 😉
Happy September!! Also, how is it September?? Wasn’t it just MAY!??!?!
Exactly 😅 Have a wonderful month ahead! No matter what month is 😁
Please follow us
That peach cobbler looks fab! Happy autumn season 🙂

Have a wonderful spring! 🌸
Ovat inspiration message,
Wealth and strength give confidence, but the fear of the Lord can give even greater confidence. When you fear the Lord you need nothing more; it is all the support you need.
