My Cooking Tip # 6

Hello my dear readers,

Here we are, with my sixth tip in the kitchen:

Dry vegetables, legumes and meats before cooking them.

If you want your veggies, legumes or meats to have that nice brown layer, remember to dry them before cooking, because if are still wet, it won’t brown properly.

The veggies you should dry them on a towel before cooking them, the chickpeas or beans can be drained in a colander and then dried on a towel before they go onto a sheet pan and the meat you should dry it with paper towels before you toss it into the pan.

Happy cooking and eating! Have a lovely day!

This is such a great tip! I sometimes add a small amount of corn starch to the mix of veggies, olive oil and spices to make them crispier. The perfect amount is up for debate, but I would use about 1 tablespoon per pound of vegetables. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day 🙂 Aiva xxx
