Complete blackout…BOOM!

Sometimes I so wish to experience a full blackout with no electricity and no power for at least 1 day.

I honestly think that we so much need one, to wake up from this Wall-E situation.

It is incredible how absent people are from this world, from this reality. Every morning I take the public transport to go to work and 99.9% from the people that I encounter are with their eyes in their mobile phones most of the time just scrolling social media.

One day I even saw a person in the subway that fell asleep but his finger was still scrolling on his mobile.

From very young kids in their strollers to old people in their wheelchairs, everyone is living only in the virtual world, a world made from envy and fake.

So imagine all these people without power and internet for one day…oh…what a good laugh I would have!

Please don’t be like this!

Our life is so short and our world is so beautiful! Enjoy it! Don’t waste your time in front of your mobile phone!

    I’ve lived enough with blackouts to know how crappy it is but I know what you mean. It’s all pretty crazy.

      At least to have some fun and see how these mobile dependent people will react 😆 I feel like people forgot how to react with each other and to live a real life!

        They’d probably go nuts. Luckily for us, there were no mobile phones back then.

      Thank you Derrick! I guess it is a good way! I’m using my mobile for work too and I need internet but I’m definitely not 100% connected every single second of my life 🙃 I like to leave my life not a fake life in the internet 😉

        Its definely becoming a more digital world and maybe you have to be pre digital to notice the change. I wrestle with this subject myself a lot but maybe there will be good that comes out of it, hard to see but maybe will lead to a fairer world.

        Yes, I completely agree! I am a pre digital and honestly I’ve had a happy childhood playing and socializing with real kids instead of virtual 😬
        I’m sure good is already coming out and will be better, especially in the medical sector…
        As from scrolling social media and absorbing the fake news, I’m not sure if that can bring any good 😬

        Same myself, hard not to compare life how it was to how it is how. On the fake new point, has got completely out of control to the point that it hard to know what is real or fake.

        Very true! Unfortunately I’ve noticed that is very difficult for people to know what is real and what is fake and lots of people actually fall for the fake 😖

    I agree with you, everyone should take a break or at least reduce time spent aimlessly scrolling through social media. I usually carry a book in my bag, this way, if I’m stuck in a que or have to use public transport, I have something to read 😊 Have a good day ☺️ Aiva

    I know you’re kidding, but I dread our electricity going out, because when it does, we also lose water. But seriously, a very good message.

      Of course I don’t want anyone to have any problems, I know no electricity can cause lots of issues…I would just want to see the reaction of mobile phone addicted people, what would they do one day without it ☺️

    Not really fun when hundreds of dollars of food goes bad in the refrigerator and you can’t sleep because your cpap doesn’t work.
    And then your other home medical devices don’t work and you are low on the list for an ambulance even if you can make the call.
    And after a few hours the criminals decide it would be a good time to go shopping in your home.
    Nope, I’ll take fossil fuels and a redundant electrical grid for a $1,000.

      I know no electricity can cause lots of problems especially in the medical sector…no, I don’t want anyone to have problems with their medical devices…that are essential in many people life…what I wanted to say is that I don’t think scrolling social media all day long is of essential importance and can’t live without it for even 10 seconds…

      Hahaha…I was really puzzled too! He fell asleep but his finger was keep scrolling 🤣😂 I would love to be able to do some of my daily chores while I’m asleep too😁😉

      Hahahaha…exactly! Why do you ask? Nowadays generations may be the most digitally connected but so far are also the most non educated people…and I’m not referring to school education…I’m referring to home education!

    Totally agree with you Ribana, like Derrick above has written .. l don’t have my mobile connected to the Internet it can be maddening at times just with the desktop. But thenl admittedly don’t scroll social media.

      I admit I have internet on my phone but mostly I’m using it for work or to speak with my family back home! Scrolling social media it is a too big headache which I rather stay without 😉☺️

    Lol Omg your gifs are hilarious 😂 sometimes I see people walking or in a waiting room or even driving (!) on their phone just scrolling and scrolling and I’m like woah am I in the movie Wall E?
    Have you ever tried like a 24 hour electronics detox?

      Including driving exactly! The other day I’ve took a taxi and the driver was playing on his phone while waiting for the traffic light 😖😖 it’s really incredible!
      I see this world become more and more like Wall E…
      Honestly during the week day I use my mobile mostly for work only and during the weekends most of the time I use it only to take pictures ☺️ definitely not a social media scrolling person 🙃

    Great post Ribana! And so true, people are so addicted to their virtual life that they forget what real life is all about. Good to take breaks, or just cut back on the amount of time on social media, most of which is not so important anyway. One day I watched a guy on our main street walking down the sidewalk glued to his phone, he bumped into a woman but just kept going and a few feet later walked right into a tree! Made him drop his phone so he was disconnected for a few seconds at least. People around him had a good laugh.😁😸🌞

      It is really incredible! Also here, they bump into you and then just continue their way but never taking their eyes from the phone…I’m wondering how it will be when the googles will be available 🙄😬

        One guy almost got hit by a car too because he just walked across the street with his eyes on his phone. He just looked at the car and kept on going. The driver was a bit upset though. It’s going to get worse when that happens!😳😬🙄

    😂😂😂 We all should have that phone fasting day, like we practise food fasting, we should make a nophonechallenge day ☺️ that’s true how society is wasting time swiping a piece of glass ..😂 but they never clean a table at home 😜 lazy generations…Well said.. Fun filled post… 💐🤗

    I used to laugh at Disney series because they make fun of a teenage girl completely breaking apart from being away 24 hour from her phone… but now that I think about it, the series wasn’t trying to make me laugh, it was showing me reality I failed to see 😑

    I have also fell asleep many times while using my phone and woke up when I drop it. ☺️
