Would you?

I’ve stumbled across this quote today and I have asked myself “Would I?”

“If today were the last day of your life, would you want to do what you are about to do today?”

Steve Jobs

And the answer is unfortunately NO.

I think I’ll need to change this…Time is so precious…I cannot afford to waste it…

I guess the new year is a good opportunity for new challenges!

I need to change the answer at this question in a happy YES.

What about you?

If today were the last day of your life, would you want to do what you are about to do today?

Have you ever thought about it?

Never miss a post!

Not sure what I’ll do yet. But I’m having my first coffee so I’ll go for a yes.

That’s good 😉 For a good coffee in the morning is always a big and happy YES 😉 ☕️

I love this! And, I have to admit, probably not..

Thank you! Then is probably the time to find something for which you’ll say a happy YES 😉

I’ll pay someone to update my blog saying the author has died when it happens and make my husband promise to get someone to polish and publish all my manuscript drafts.
But most of the days, I want to create so many videos and picture with my son… and a goodbye film saying how much I love him… and that I didn’t want to die yet because I want to spend more time him… why am I’m being too emotional over her. My chest hurts 😫 😢

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Heeeey? What’s all this story with dying? 🤔🙈
Think at today! Do you like what would you be doing today? If taking videos and pictures with your son is what you want to do, just do it! Why are you thinking so far away? Think at the present day and do the things that make you happy today!

      1. Jessica E. Larsen Avatar

Hahaha 😂 It’s all your fault! My brain likes to go on overdrive 😄

      2. popsiclesociety Avatar

Don’t be so drastic ☺️ Think only at the positive side ☺️

      3. Jessica E. Larsen Avatar

        Haha 😄 I am dear Ribby… sometimes I get triggers 😆

This is so thought provoking… Mine is no too, but I agree with you, it’s time for change 😁

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

It is a very powerful question that I think we should always ask ourselves….time is so precious and in no way we can have it back if we waste it…It is time for a change indeed 😉 Let’s find the thing that’ll make us say a happy YES 😉

If it were my last day – I’d definitely fly off to a more picturesque, quieter place to spend it at! I love how inspiring Steve Jobs is! His Stanford commencement speech is one of the most inspiring things ever – love listening to it. But I’m not sure if I want to live each day like its my last because honestly I wouldn’t want to work and eat all the junk in the world instead. 😀 But I get the idea behind the quote! 🙂

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Great wish! I think I would search for a quiet place too surrounded by nature 🌸
Yes, he is inspiring even today after so many years that he’s gone…that’s a legacy 😊
Hahaha, I completely understand…I’ll don’t want to work either just eat lots of wonderful and delicious foods and enjoy my time ☺️ We should always be conscious about our time 😊

“In other eyes, my life is the essence of success, but aside from work, I have a little joy, and in the end wealth is just a fact of life to which I am accustomed. At this moment, lying on the bed, sick and remembering all my life, I realize that all my recognition and wealth that I have is meaningless in the face of imminent death.”

At the end Steve’s final words, hours earlier, were monosyllables, repeated three times. Before embarking, he’d looked at his sister Patty, then for a long time at his children, then at his life’s partner, Laurene, and then over their shoulders past them. Steve’s final words were: OH WOW. OH WOW.

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

That’s the reason why we need to realize that time is precious and we must enjoy it…if we waste it we cannot go back and is gone forever…
      Thank you 😊

What can you do today to make it better?

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

What can I do today to make it better? Choose to be happy and positive no matter what…my day is almost over and it worked…😊

      1. Looking for the Light Avatar

Great! What do you do for a living? I’m alwasy curous what people do, your so into food and travel but I know you do something very different.

      2. popsiclesociety Avatar

For a living I’m dealing with numbers…administration and project management is what it occupies most of my time at work and a little bit of marketing in my “free” working time 🤪 It is far away from food and travel but I try to combine them all for now 😉

That question puts a lot of load on my little brain!!
Well, I might watch a lot of movies even if I have to spend some good amount on renting them from anywhere on Earth plus watch some cricket match highlights.
And I won’t work much as I am already hard working and work on something or the other everyday!

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

That’s a great time ☺️ I suggest you do it some days even if is not the last day 😊 That’s the secret I believe to keep us going…doing the things we like ☺️
      Work? Definitely not work…☺️😜

      1. ptrikha15 Avatar

        Yes for sure !!

        Me, too

Definitely, seriously, Emotionally, a BIG NO. I’ll have so many things to do if today is my last day, Priority will be my loved ones!!

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Maybe is time to work on that Big No and change it into a happy YES ☺️😜

Hell no, which means I’m probably squandering this beautiful day! If I knew today were my last day I’d get all my family together and we’d put on the beautiful music, find some place warm, be outside, hug each other, eat lobsters and anything else delicious, and make sure all is right in our world. I wouldn’t want to live every day as if it were my last perfect day, but it’s a fun mental exercise.

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Would be a wonderful time 😍 Family, music, warm, nature and delicious food, sounds like paradise 😉
I guess living every day as our last day it would be a little bit too exaggerated but important is to always be conscious that we must enjoy our life too 😉

      1. Dorothy's New Vintage Kitchen Avatar

Maybe once in a while, deliberately live that perfect day

      2. popsiclesociety Avatar

        Exactly 😉

  14. ourcrossings Avatar

That’s a great question, isn’t? If today was my last day, I would most likely get in touch with the nearest hospital to donate my body and then I would donate all of my possessions and money to those less fortunate 🧡

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Oh wow! That is wonderful! Thinking about it I guess I’ll do the same! At least I could help someone even if I’m gone 😍 You’re a very kind soul Aiva! 💕

  15. anne leueen Avatar

If I had been asked that this morning I would have carried on and done just what I had planned to do today. I went to the barn, brought my horse in from snowy paddock, groomed him and tacked him up and had a lesson with my trainer and coach. I came home and had a nice cup of tea. I could to ask for a better day really.

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Spending the day with Biasini I guess is a wonderful and fulfilling day 😍 Animals are priceless in our life! Thank you Anne for sharing 🐴

  16. anne leueen Avatar

Should have been could NOT have asked for a better day!

  17. arielaonthego Avatar

I’ll do something different if I know it’s my last day! Something meaningful 😊

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

I know the feeling….sometimes I feel like what I’m doing is a complete waste of time…and that sucks because we can never bring back the lost time…we need to use our time in a meaningful way 😉

  18. Yiena Avatar

I would honestly chose to spend it with my mother 🙈

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Sweet 💕 Enjoy the time with her everyday 😍

        Thank you thank you~🙈💕

Coffee and, luckily for me, a swim in the ocean! That is the perfect way to spend a ‘last’ day!

    1. popsiclesociety Avatar

Sounds like a perfect day indeed! A swim in the ocean sounds exciting 😍
