Hello my dear readers,
Another week has gone and I hope you are all ok.
Mine was a shitty week but shitty things happens all the time.
I need to remind myself that the end of something doesn’t mean necessarily something negative, actually most of the time means the beginning of something new and exciting, so cheers to that 🥂
Cheers to new beginning!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
And please stay at home and stay safe!

Please take care dear and stay safe! Loads of love and hugs. I have also posted something fun for this friday. <3
Thank you very much! Same to you! Stay safe and enjoy the weekend! 💕😉🌸
This is the first time I’ve seen you use the colorful word “shitty.” This is probably the first unhappy post I’ve seen from you as well… I’m sorry that you are struggling right now, Ribana. This was literally my week last week. Things will get better with time. Enjoy some Kaya jam on toast and an iced Milo this weekend. Sending you hugs! ♥️
Thank you Hilary! Bad things happens all the time but we try as much as we can to move forward and learn something from each experience good or bad…
Now that you’ve mentioned…is a long time I did not eat a kaya toast…I guess is the perfect time to get some 😉
Thank you again Hilary! Lots of love and hugs to you as well! Stay always strong! 🤗💕💪🏻
I happen to have some Kaya in my cupboard which came all the way from Singapore. They happen to sell it at the Asian supermarkets in Canada but it’s not the reduced-sugar variety. Whenever I eat Kaya jam, it brings back happy memories. It’s really yummy with apple slices! Whenever I’m having a bad day, I try to do something that makes me happy. Usually it’s food related, but not always.
That’s great! Wow, directly from Singapore 😉 I usually don’t have it at home as is a little bit too sweet for me but sometimes is perfect for a morning breakfast or snack during the day 😉 Honestly I did not notice they have a reduced-sugar variety…
Usually food that we like is making our day better 😉
Yes, my husband’s grandfather went to Singapore and brought it back during the Christmas break. I also have one jar of Durian Kaya left. I do not recommend sugar-free Kaya because it might cause tummy issues. I can’t see my to find the reduced sugar variety here (it’s either full sugar or sugar-free). Nick’s family is Singaporean, even though his was born and raised in Canada 🇨🇦
Yes, I remember your husband’s family is from Singapore! Great that even if they moved so long ago they still come back and enjoy their country and their food 😉 It is a beautiful city and has particular foods 😉 I’m here for quite a while now and I still didn’t get used with durian….😷
Must be bad if you are visibly swearing Ribana … try to keep smiling – l am just an email away if you want to really explode and don’t want to publish that explosion 🙂 [Ps – l love it when a woman talks dirty] See gotta smile 🙂
Take care and keep sane.
I guess sometimes I reach my limits 🤪 and is good to just let go out 🤪
Thank you very much Rory for your support! I’m so grateful I’ve started blogging as it helped me know people like you, that even if we never met in person, the support, connection and solidarity means much more than any physical connection…A positive side of the internet 😉
Thank you again Rory! Very appreciated!
Lots of love and hugs to both of you 💕🧸🤗 Stay strong and sane indeed 😉🤗🧸
Always a pleasure Ribana , likewise and ditto, backatcha too – you are always welcome 🙂
I adore that clip of Ina with an enormous cocktail glass! I’d love to have her round for dinner. She’s always cooking for everyone else and I think she’d really appreciate the invite. But what to cook?
I’m glad you like it! Ina is pretty awesome! I guess she’ll enjoy something simple but made with love 😉💕 a typical recipe of your kitchen 😉
Let’s hope she can come round for dinner later in the year!
😉
And you Ribana. Wishing you a less shitty week
Thank you very much Derick! Hopefully 😉

Friday afternoon I totally hit the wall, so I signed off work for the day, got some carbs, and watched The Blues Brothers with my daughter. It was a good call.
A good call indeed! Sometimes we just need to unplug! Stay safe!

That cocktail is enormous! But then again I’m so feed up with the lockdown I feel to gulp down that much amount 😁
