My Sunday brunch

Oh well, I think is not a secret anymore that I like brunches πŸ™‚ Actually I like to eat good food πŸ™‚

What’s better than a good Sunday brunch in good company? πŸ™‚

Sometimes, if we need to do some shopping Saturday or Sunday morning, we usually like to stop for a brunch also…shopping…food…goes well together πŸ™‚

But is not something difficult to do and can very simple do it at home and can save some money too :)…it’s let’s say more than 50% cheaper doing it at home πŸ™‚

What you need is only some bread, this time I’ve used a ciabatta bread,Β  other times I use English muffins, depends on what I have in the fridge, eggs, I have used spam this time (oh yes, sometimes I like to eat it), but you can use bacon, sausages or ham,Β Hollandaise sauce and some cherries tomatoes.

Start by cooking a little bit the cherries tomatoes in a pan with a little bit of salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil and with the lid on. Only for a few minutes, 3-4 minutes until you see the tomatoes are softer.

Take out the tomatoes and put the slices of spam and cook for 1-2 minutes each side.

Toast the bread and spread some Hollandaise sauce and add the slices of spam.

As a last thing, cook the eggs in the same pan and make sure the yolk is soft.

It is so easy but yet so delicious. You have everything that you need in a meal: protein, fibers, fat and carbs…Exquisite! You don’t believe me? Try it now! πŸ™‚

      2. I think sometimes it comes just to give us a little bit of time to rest, otherwise we never find the time for it 🀣
        New week, new day πŸ˜‰
I wish you a lovely and fast week πŸ˜‰πŸŒΈπŸ€—πŸŒΈπŸ’•πŸ˜‰

      3. I was just thinking this morning πŸ€” should learn to take a break sometimes just to rest, without any flu 🀧

  2. I thought no one liked spam from how they react to it…does it taste like normal meat or what?

    Those cherry tomatoes though…

My brunch consists on one thing: Chocolate

    1. Oh they may react to it but believe me it is consumed, as every year are produced 44,000 cans of spam πŸ€ͺ In South Korea is also considered a luxury food πŸ€ͺ
It tastes like a saltier, fattier version of ham πŸ˜‹
Of course, like with all foods, we never have to exaggerate and we need to eat with moderation 😊 As I always say, a little bit of everything πŸ€ͺπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‹
Oh well, chocolate for brunch is not bad if you are a sweet kind of person πŸ€ͺ I always prefer salty πŸ˜‰

      1. Huh. Interesting. Ah well never tried ham and never will >-<. I'm the farrrthest thing from sweet. Trust me on that ;3

  3. Yummy πŸ˜‹
I’m a brunch fanatic too! And that’s why I always made it for weekend. Now it’s a family tradition.
But I don’t think I’ve ever taste an English muffin before. Never seen them in Norway and can’t find them in Spain πŸ™

    1. It’s a good way to enjoy it with the family πŸ˜‰
English muffins are oddly spongy but really good for soaking up butter and jam or mayo or other sauces πŸ˜‰
But if you cannot find them, also with a normal slice of bread is pretty good πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‹
They call them English muffins in the US but only muffins in UK πŸ€ͺ

      1. I’ve been very curious of it that I look up the recipes online. I pride myself for baking but this one is a disaster. πŸ™ πŸ˜‚ Oh well, I try again someday, by then I hope I’ll nail it πŸ™‚
