A wonderful occasion for something sweet 😊
The challenge is to make a sandwich sponge cake that needs to have at least two layers, can be of any flavour and any colour, can use any filling you like and need to decorate the top of the cake.
As a not baker 👩🍳 I’m quite proud of my “naked cake” 🍰
Because we are only two, my cake is a minion but it has two layers, not quite visible and not really circle shapes 🤪, it has a filling, a little bit too liquid but is still a filling 😝 and a decorated top, I think from the 3 things this I did it better 😝
The sponge cake is a vanilla sponge cake with a little twist, I’ve added lime zest and it has a little bit of citrusy flavour. For the filling I did a vanilla pastry cream and I’ve added whipped cream for lightness. And because I live in Singapore for a little bit of exotic flavour I’ve added passion fruit.
The whole together it is very light but is an explosion of flavours. 😋
Quite pleased with myself right now 😝😋
