This is very true! The moment you try to advance yourself in life, there is someone who will try to tear you down! I think people are inclined to do this because they have a certain way of viewing people and the world, and the minute you decide to change their perceptions of you, they get pissed off. I lost “friends” when I got married and got a lot of backlash when I decided to peruse a nursing degree. Ignore the haters and keep going!

It still bothers me how mean people can be, allowing the jealousy and the hate leech into all aspects of their lives, and destroying otherwise good friendships. It tells me that they haven’t spent time reflecting on their own lives. 😔
