Couscous and veggies

When I was little I remember my mom used to cook couscous and I hated it. Now after almost 20 years I love it. How strange I am 🤣

I love it because is very easy to cook, cholesterol free, low sodium, sugar free, fat free, has fewer calories than both white and brown rice and can be served not only as sides and main dishes but also in soup or salad. Really versatile.

You just need to cook the couscous following the instruction on the package, that usually is taking around 5 minutes 😊 Your favourite veggies just need to toss them for a few minutes with a little bit of olive oil, salt and pepper and your meal is ready. Bon appetite!

In our part of the world, couscous is eaten as a curry with rice. Couscous paste is eaten raw mixed with oil, and green chilly pepper. I love it.
