Clam chowder

With only a few ingredients, this creamy clam chowder is the perfect diner in a cold evening.

In a saucepan sauté the onions, celery, carrots and potatoes in butter, add salt and pepper then add water to cover and cook over medium heat until tender. In another saucepan, melt some butter and whisk in flour until smooth. Whisk in cream and stir constantly until thick and smooth. Add the vegetables and minced clams and cook and stir for another 2, 3 minutes or until thickened.

In Singapore we don’t have cold evenings but I always love to eat this creamy soup. I’m a soup lover and I will eat them even if it’s hot 😊

Yummy. I remember having Clam Chowder in Boston, US, where it’s famous but have never tried making it. I should! 🙂
