Roasted Brussels sprouts

Hello my dear readers,

Friday is here, so it’s time for

This week we have discovered the Brussels sprouts so today I’ll share with you an super easy but delicious recipe: roasted Brussels sprouts

Ingredients:

How to do it:

Cut in half the Brussels sprouts and steam them for around 2-3 minutes. I like them a little bit crunchy but if you want them softer then just steam them for a couple of minutes more.

In the meantime in a pan put all the seeds together and drizzle with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil and roast them. I had at home these seeds but you may use any seeds you like.

Add the steamed Brussels sprouts, add salt & pepper and roast them for around 5 minutes or until are slightly brown.

Your Brussels sprouts are ready. I like that touch of roasted seeds as it gives additional crunchiness and the pine nuts give a delicious flavour.

You may enjoy them as a side dish with meat or fish or even as a vegetarian dish by itself.

Simple, fast, healthy and delicious 😋. Think that one cup of cooked Brussels sprouts provides 16% of your daily needs of fiber.

Enjoy 😉
