Mini softhearted chocolate cake

Hello my dear readers,

After all that we have discovered about chocolate this week here and here, I don’t know you but I would love a chocolate recipe 😉

Furthermore, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Why not surprise your Valentine with a super decadent softhearted chocolate cake or is called also lava cake or molten chocolate cake, but who cares the name? the taste is heavenly delicious!

I ate a few times this wonderful chocolate cake at the restaurant and I always wondered how do you make such a magnificent dessert 🧐

When I tried to make it at home I was surprised that it is a very easy dessert to make and very fast.

You will only need a few ingredients and the small ramekins or baking cups. I have at home different kind of ramekins, even heart shape ones 💖 but also muffin baking cups, so I use everything I have 😉 and you may do it too 😉 If you don’t have them you may also find them on my Popsicle Society shop.

The only secret is to do it at the moment and eat it as soon as it is taken out of the oven, so that the heart remains soft … try it … you will be surprised and your Valentine too 😉… I recommend it to all gourmands, like me 😉

Ingredients for 7 mini softhearted chocolate cake

How to do it:

Melt the chocolate with the butter and the water. I’m using chocolate chips but you may use the normal dark chocolate for baking.

Transfer the melted chocolate to a bowl and let it cool.

Grease and flour the mini ramekins or baking cups.

Once the melted chocolate is cooled then add eggs, sugar, the sifted flour and the pinch of salt and mix well.

Fill the baking cups by half with the mixture.

Bake for 10 minutes in the oven at 220 degrees. The high heat will cook the softhearted chocolate cake around the edges and tops, leaving the insides soft.

Since the ovens are all different, if you’re not sure if are done, you may take out one and simply try it.

Carefully flip the freshly baked and warm softhearted chocolate cake upside down onto plates, sift a little bit of icing sugar on top and serve.

You may serve it with ice cream, fresh fruits, or even more chocolate sauce 🍫

AND YES, IT’S THAT EASY!

Your Valentine will be really pleased 😁 💕 Enjoy it!

And if you don’t eat them all, don’t worry, once they cool down, they’ll maybe not have anymore the lava inside but will still remain amazingly moist!
