Winter holidays in Italy

Hello my dear readers,

Christmas means family but also lots of food 😋

I know I’ll need to work out a lot when we’ll be back to Singapore but for now, we simply enjoy delicious meals 😉😋

Our Christmas table
Homemade ravioli with ham and ricotta cheese
Homemade ravioli with ham and ricotta cheese and butter and walnuts sauce
Preparing the Antipasti
Salmon and poppy seeds puff pastry rolls, puff pastry mini pie with radicchio and cheese, bruschetta with bresaola and arugula cream cheese and parmesan cheese flakes, radicchio salad seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar

And since is all about food, some eating out too 🤪

Benedict eggs with Jamón Spanish ham
German potatoes rösti with salmon and fresh herbs
Grilled chicken Caesar salad
Grilled octopus with leeks and potatoes cream
Grilled squid and artichokes with tapenade (olive pesto, capers, anchovies) and quinoa
Italian sweets pastries

I love Italian supermarkets….lots of delicious and fresh foods.

Fresh pasta: tagliatelle, pappardelle, bigoli
Fresh pasta: gnocchi, tortellini
Cheese: Grana Padano, Asiago
Soft cheese: stracchino, robiola, ricotta, stracciatella
Seasonal veggies: radicchio di Chioggia, radicchio di Treviso, cappuccio cabbage, fennel
My favourite part of the supermarket: the cold cuts counter

And of course winter means also some snow ❄️

After several years, we’ve found finally some snow in Romania
