Hello February

Hello my dear readers,

And just like that, one month has passed by already, and February is here.

Hello February

How was your first month of 2022?

How have you started the new year?

Between office work and kitchen work, my January simply flew by.

For this year, I’ve made a deal with myself to read at least one book per month between my busy schedule, and I’m happy that I’ve managed to do it so far 🙂

I’ve finished The Midnight Library by Matt Haig because once I’ve started reading it, I couldn’t stop 🙂

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

“We don’t have to do everything in order to be everything, because we are already infinite. While we are alive we always contain a future of multifarious possibility.”

– a passage from The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Isn’t this beautifully said? And it is so right!

Synopsis of the book:

Nora’s life has been going from bad to worse. Then, at the stroke of midnight on her last day on earth, she finds herself transported to a library. There, she is given the chance to undo her regrets, and try out each of the other lives she might have lived.

Which raises the ultimate question: with infinite choices, what is the best way to live?

Really an amazing book! I strongly recommend it!

Wish you all a wonderful February, filled with health, happiness, love and lots of accomplishments.

February is the month of LOVE, but LOVE can’t be limited to only one month. LOVE needs to be celebrated every day! LOVE and LIVE every day!

Love and Live

Happy February!

  1. My January flew with babies around 😅. Stepping into Feb, as always a Busy Bee. Focusing more to switch my current job, hopefully this month will bless me with new job 😇 I hope. Wish you too a wonderful Feb 🥳

  2. January was a bad month for me. Near the end, it just dragged on. Even though I’m not a huge fan of February which seems to drag on as well, I’m hoping it will be better than the last. Goodbye January 2022!

Reading books is a great goal. I am hoping to write some intuitive blog posts. I’ve got a lot of ideas but putting them into words is another story. I do Animal Crossing landscaping/terraforming for a hobby, so I’m hoping to share some of tours/photos in the upcoming months. I have more fun landscaping than I do playing the game itself 😂 I was inspired to name my island Sentosa after Sentosa Island in Singapore 🏝

    1. Hi Hilary, I’m sorry to hear that January was not good, and I hope your February will be better!
I love being transported into another world by a good book 📖😉 I hope I’ll be able to keep it up 😉
Landscaping sounds fun 🤩 Sentosa is a little bit quiet now without tourists but is a wonderful place to just chill out 🏝

      1. This sounds like a great time of year to visit Singapore! If it wasn’t for the pandemic, I would be there right now. 😷

I’m thinking about doing a smart phone ban this month so I can focus more on personal projects. I find I waste too much time on apps, YouTube, and safari (internet browsing on my phone). I deleted safari already we’ll see how this goes. Might try time-blocking too, similar to what I did in university. I’m hoping to be more productive this month! 🙌

      2. On one side is a great time to visit Singapore just to chill out, but on the other side, since no tourists, lots of places are out of business…
Maybe a smartphone ban is a little bit drastic ☺️ but reducing the usage definitely helps you do other things…at the end of end of the week, when I receive the usage report, I see my time spent on my phone is always lesser ☺️

      3. I’m averaging 5 hours a day on my phone and the majority is spent browsing the web (safari on iPhone). Today has been a safari-free day so it’s a start! 😝

Going on vacation sounds lovely, especially these days. I spent most of January sick or cold or both. I dream of palm trees and sunshine! As for tourist places, my husband has grandparents who live in Singapore 🙂 If anything, we would be visiting family.

      4. Wow, 5 hours a day is a lot 😆
I hope your phone free days are going well 😉
We’ve been stuck here for more than 2 years now without being able to travel…I can’t wait for a vacation 🤩 I hope we’ll be able to travel soon!
I hope I’ll still be here when you’ll come to visit 😉

    1. It’s a wonderful book! I’m so glad I’ve found it and will definitely look for his other books 📚😉 And while I was reading the book I have also seen a movie on Netflix ‘A Boy Called Christmas’ based on his book 😉

    1. Important is that was a productive month despite all 😉
I hope your February will be equally productive and less cold 😉
Thank you very much Dorothy! Hopefully February will be more productive for me too ☺️
That’s great 🤩 It’s really a wonderful book! Enjoy it!
