That has come home roost here in New Zealand – where a great many NZ people thought the ‘grass was much greener” in Australia and left our shores. Now, there seems to be a real rush to come home, due to the fact if they hadn’t “taken out dual citizenship and/or bought a house, settled in properly” they can’t get all the extra monetary entitlements, possibly lost their job/$,. Suddenly their birth place is the “green place”
That is how NZ last year, got the population to be more than 5 million – fast as!
This is a sad reality unfortunately! People always try to look for better opportunities, me included, but depending on the circumstances, not always is “greener” elsewhere…I guess we must create this “green place” for ourselves!
