My Cooking Tip # 5

Hello my dear readers,

It has been a while since I’ve posted my simple but efficient cooking tips so,

here we are, with my fifth tip in the kitchen:

Roll that citrus to get more juice out.

I know sounds silly but believe me it makes a difference.

And if you don’t believe me, try it. Squeeze a lemon without rolling it and then squeeze a lemon that you’ve rolled it first and compare the amount of juice from both.

Enjoy that citrus until the last drop, because sometimes all a dish needs is a squeeze of lemon or lime to take it to the next level.

Squeezing a lemon

Have a lovely day!

      1. I think the microwaving helps to get the juices flowing in the lemon. Helps to roll them a bit before microwaving, and you only have to microwave them for a few seconds! I saw this on the Food Network years ago but I don’t remember which cooking show it was!

    1. Yes, I do the microwave trick, too! Always works a treat if they are really hard and just come out of the fridge.

  1. Most mornings I squeeze fresh lemon juice for a detox hot drink – I twist a fork into each half and squeeze to get the juice ot – never tried rolling first but will do, thanks for the tip. 🍋 ☕️

  2. Amazing tip, I do that a lot, Squeeze like it’s my brain 😂😂. Squeeze till it’s last drop 😸 Nisha use to complain I Squeeze and bring the juice of the skin not the lemon or orange 😁.. It’s worth doing it 💪 Have a Lovely week Ribana ✨💐🤗

      1. Haha 😂😂 Not much of a helper 🙈 but I still help 😁 with the usual complaints from her ☺️ You too have a great week💐🤗

  3. That’s a fantastic tip. I sometimes cut the lemon lengthwise as cutting your lemon from top to bottom can help produce a lot of juice too 🙂 Aiva xxxx
