Hello June

Hello my dear readers,

I hope all of you are doing well.

Some of you have noticed that I’ve been missing for a while now.

Thank you all for your concern!

I am fine, just that work is eating up all my time lately and in the very little time that I have free, my brain is too exhausted to be present here.

I know that I can manage it, just that sometimes I need a good break because I don’t want blogging to become “just a second job”.

Blogging as a second job is just another “job”, another duty that honestly I’m not willing to do.

Blogging for me is a hobby, a way to express my passions and discover and interact with wonderful people all around the world.

Next step: planning! I have given this advise before, now I guess I need to give it to myself!

Planning! Start planning and prioritise my time!

Yep! That’s definitely what I need to start doing!

In the meantime, June is here. Wish you a wonderful month filled with happiness, health and lots of goal achievements, whatever your goals may be.

  1. Yes, I missed your posts as well, but hey you’ve here and it’s June here in NZ as well, a bit more wintery but that’s how the years go by… I was bit worried about the Singapore covid-status which appears to have changed…

    1. Thank you very much! Hope you’re ok! In the last weeks we’ve seen a surge in cases but with additional restrictions now seems the situation is better! I guess this will become the “new normal”…same with the flu 🥴 Hope in NZ the situation is better! Stay always safe!

      1. What’s happening here now, is that if you present with some respiratory issue (I’ve a friend who had an appt with a specialist and the phone receptionist, needed a precaution in case it wasn’t a cold), then you’ve sent to be tested. It came back negative.

the vaccine rollout has taken a bit of a battering but now apparently the “group 3 @ over 70” is underway, I’m in that group but as there many 1000s of over 70s the timeframe seems to be quite a long one.

Currently we have no community transmission and even when the bubble opened up with Australia and now is closed one of the states – there has been no indication that the virus has come into NZ – either going or coming back.

Yes, my best action is to “Stay Always Safe” – I follow to the best of my being the rules in place. Thanks for your concern.

      2. Yes, I think what we can do is protecting ourselves and keeping safe. Even with the jabs is always better to stay away and always keeping the safe distance…even if they say is like a flu with the jabs done, the flu can be nasty too 🥴
But I’m glad to hear that NZ is COVID free and hopefully will remain as it is!

  2. You have the right idea. At the end of life we will not look back and wish we wrote more blogs. Life it’s what is now and the most importnat. OF course our health is right up there too. 🙂

  5. Good to know that you are well and were taking a break from the whirl of the blogosphere. Sometimes I think I would like to take some time off but then I get an idea and think I had better write a post about it.🤣

  9. Hi Rabina,
    Lovely to visit your post.
Likewise, I have been feeling guilty about my blogging practice. I find that I am finding time to do spontaneous posts but am neglectful of keeping up with the reader, followers & following.
As you rightly say it shouldn’t become a second job.
It sounds as though, as mum r.I.p would say you are ‘catching yourself on’ (an Ulster saying). I am learning to do the same.
    Take care 🙂🙏

    1. Hi Margaret, I think we all sometimes need a break and need to remind ourselves that is a hobby that we enjoy but that comes with ups and downs and lots of time consuming. The readers and followers are an important part of the motivation that keeps us going 😉 Stay safe, take care and enjoy it 😉🌸
