While we don’t need a special day to celebrate love, as love should be celebrated every single day, we take these special days like birthdays, Easter, Christmas, Valentine to relax and treat ourselves with little new experiences.
For quite a few years now, me and my husband instead of physical gifts, we better treat ourselves with little traveling and culinary adventures.
The experience and memories that we do, means much more than any physical object.

This year we still cannot travel but doesn’t mean we cannot treat ourselves.

If you want to impress your other half these days but you don’t have too much time, you may try these heart shaped fluffy pancakes or mini softhearted chocolate cake, I’m sure will work 😉

Staycations are what we’ve been indulging in over the past year. I totally agree that love should be celebrated every day. Valentine’s day is just a way for companies to make more money! But nonetheless I still indulge in the madness. 🙈

experiences are the best memories and therefor the best gifts. We have done this with our sons for Christmas for the last 5 or 6 years. As for minor holidays, meh… we don’t really do anything for them. I think my husband and I stopped doing Valentine’s day after the first year we were together. I don’t need Hallmark to tell me when to spread love.
That’s great! Creating memories for us and for the kids is priceless! Each travel is a new life experience that opens out eyes and our hearts!
