Another delight: North Indian Cuisine

Hello my dear readers,

And my mood of non taking photographs of my cooking continues…

And what do I do? I take some pictures from our eating out 😉

Last weekend we’ve tried a new North Indian Cuisine restaurant near our home and I must admit that everything was super tasty…

I always liked Indian cuisine, I love the combination of spices 😉

And of course when we talk about North Indian cuisine we start with Samosas Chat, crispy Indian puff stuffed with savoured potatoes, green peas and chickpeas.

Then we continue with Tandoori Chicken, tender fresh chicken marinated in cream & rare spices and barbecued in earthen clay oven.

I simply love it. It is so moist, and that combination of spices…yum.

Palak Paneer, cottage cheese cooked with spinach and dressed with stripes of ginger and plain Naan, is a must.

And we needed to try another specialty, Aloo Gobi, cauliflower specialty with potatoes. I don’t know what spices are in this dish but is heavenly delicious.

Oh my, what a dinner we had.

And of course we enjoyed everything with a good Indian KingFisher beer.

Now, I couldn’t leave the restaurant without a dessert. I had Gulab Jamun, Indian desserts made from milk powder, mawa made into balls and deep fried till golden brown, served in sugar syrup, but of course I’ve forgot to take a picture….I was too busy eating it 🤪 Well, at least I have an excuse to go back, right?

Now my Indian friends, I know that usually the Indian food as any other cuisine outside its country is not the same, but I would like to know your opinion. Are these dishes similar to the original ones prepared in North India?

I would love to hear from you, to improve my knowledge in this marvellous cuisine 😉

In the meantime, I wish you all a lovely weekend and happy eating!

Bye bye for now.

  4. Food and the culinary variety is what is fascinating about our Country. From the sweetest Rosogolla in Kolkata to the Tandoori Chicken in Delhi and the Dosas down south. Its like a riot of flavours and colours. #MyWordsKraft
