Update of my small green corner

Hello my dear readers,

Another week has gone and I hope everyone is safe!

Since last Friday I was too sad and I didn’t post any updates of my small green corner, here I am today with a quick update.

Remember my mixed leaf salad? I have already cut it 3 times so far and it’s keep re-growing.

My strawberries plants are slow but consistent 😉 Every week a new leaf is growing 🌿

My fake blueberries plant is keep growing…funny thing is that I have an app on my phone and I’ve tried to identify the plant and seems it is a wild carrot plant 🥕 🤪…and in fact, the leaves do look similar to carrots leaves….well we’ll see 😉

And finally I’ve separated my chilli plants 🌱 🌶  I’m curious if I’ll see any chilli 🌶 😉

This is my oldest orchid, it has more than 5 years and usually is blooming at Christmas time every year. This year though, it started blooming at Christmas as usual and it never stopped since 😉

Sunday morning usually we go for a walk and look what I’ve found this time? Such a cute papaya plant 🌱  Small but look how many papayas 😋

And this is where we usually do our weekend walks, surrounded by green and blue sky….my happy and relaxing place 😎 Nature is so beautiful!

  1. Looks like you’re doing great job with your mini garden, Ribana. OOh, I love orchids! Yours looks so unique, green and white petals together, pretty! Cute papayas, short but productive 😀

  2. This place is so beautiful, we can have lot of trees here ✨😍🥰 and your little garden is amazing. Lot of improvements comparing your last post. It’s like growing a kid😍 So beautiful to watch them grow 😍☺️🤗. Papaya, I love papaya, you allowed to take it home? 🤔 if yes, do it. It’ll be tasty once it’s ripe enough u know 😉☺️ have a beautiful day ✨💐 Stay Safe ✨💐

    1. Thank you very much Simon! Oh yes, I love watching my plants grow! So satisfying 🤩
I can’t take home these papayas but luckily I find them in the market as is a local fruit 😉 Very tasty indeed 😋
Wish you a wonderful weekend! Stay safe and enjoy the relaxing time 😉🤩

  3. Days seem grim lately. But at least your plants is thriving 😄
I feel bad for the blueberries. Please remove the “fake” 😢
Have a fun friday Ribby and lots of virtual hugs for you 😘

    1. Ahahaha….ok, ok, is not “fake” is “misunderstood” blueberry 🤪🤪
Stay safe dear Jess and have a wonderful weekend! Lots of hugs 🤗🤗🌸🌸💕💕

      1. Good morning Ribana. I think we might be able to find someone soon, but not yet. We are not completely out of food yet but we will need some. Thankyou so much for asking ❤️

  4. I love watching plants grow. It makes you so proud when you see extra leaves. We had a poinsettia for Christmas and I cut it back as it was dying. We were too lazy to chuck it away, but a few days later some small leaves appeared and now there are loads. Hopefully you will see some produce! 🙂

    1. Very true! Is very satisfying seeing new leaves growing! I love it 🌱 🥰 And when you even don’t expect it they’ll surprise you 😉🌸 Stay safe and have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Wonderful and just seeing the sun is so amazing. We are sun starved. Your lettuce looks so lovely. I wish I would have planted something inside. Our things have to grow practically in the dark, under very gray skies. Have a nice day. 🙂

    1. One thing I love about living here is the clear blue sky! There are periods when the humidity is too high and the sky is grey-white but luckily is not very often 😉 Green from the plants and the blue of the sky is something that makes me happy! Have a wonderful weekend! 🌸🌸

      1. I would love that as well. It’s been racing for two days and it’s almost always gray here. I LOVE the sun and when I was growing up (here) it was sunny all the time. That has changed dramatically and for the worse. I’m glad you get to enjoy it.

  6. Hey Ribana! You’re little garden is doing great! I always thought your “blueberry” plant looked like carrots. It’s always fun to watch plants grow. I like to have plants around, but mine are all flowers, helps to brighten up our long winters. I just bought a couple orchids about a month ago and so far they are doing great. I have never grown them before so I hope they survive. All parks have been closed here now, but our walking trails are still open so far. Have a wonderful day!!😁😸🌞☕☕

    1. Hi Steve, thank you very much for stopping by! Yes, is wonderful watching the plants grow 🤩🌱 such a satisfaction 😉 I will see what my blueberry-carrot plant will do 🤪
Orchids are beautiful! They need to have light but not direct sun and don’t give them too much water….back home in Italy I’ve started with 3 orchids and I’ve managed to keep them alive for several years….actually are still alive and flowering every year! I use to keep them at the kitchen window were there is light but not direct sun and used to spray a little bit of water on their roots and leaves every day and once every two week fertiliser….beautiful! They’ve loved it 😉 Everyone was asking what I do to them that are so beautiful year after year 🤪😉
Here in Singapore I have my orchids for several years now and I’ve noticed they like more water as is much hotter 😉

      1. Yes, I’m afraid I might over water my orchids,😬 although so far they seem to be okay, still lots of flowers. Hopefully I can get them to flower again later. I have always liked orchids but thought they would be a hard plant to look after. So I’m enjoying something new!😀 I will enjoy it even more if they survive!🙄 I might have to move my orchids to my table soon to keep them out of the sun.🌞🙄
Thanks Ribana! Have a good day and stay safe!😁😸🌞
