Vietnamese cuisine

When you think at Vietnamese food, what’s the first that pops in your mind? For me is Pho, a Vietnamese soup consisting of broth, rice noodles called bánh phở, a few herbs, and meat, primarily made with either beef or chicken.

With the balance between fresh herbs and meats and a selective use of spices to reach a fine taste, Vietnamese food is considered one of the healthiest cuisines worldwide.

One of their main ingredient is lemongrass which I love and I like very much the soups for the lemony taste.

The other day we had Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup with Prawn Cakes & Chicken Fillet and Vietnamese “Pho” – Sliced Beef, Brisket and Beef Balls Noodle Soup.

As appetiser, summer rolls with grilled beef and soft shell crab.

Summer in your mouth! Very delicious!

  1. Oooh, popsicle, this sounds good. I knew nothing about Virtnamese food. I had no idea that it was considered the healthiest in the world. Do the Vietnamese luve longer lives then? Or have less cancer and disease? I am interested to know this. Great post here popsicle. Thankyou

    1. According with nutritionists, if you eat traditional Vietnamese food is the most healthy and balanced in the world. But with the economic growth were introduced also some western habits with processed products, enriched with artificial flavors. This change of habits is causing an increase in cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders as well obesity and cancers. So nutritions are advising the traditional Vietnamese cuisine and stay away from processed foods which honestly we need to do in all cuisines. Eat well and stay healthy!
